Wellness in the Wild

Start the New Year with Intention

January 16-22, 2027

Escape to Costa Rica's breathtaking Osa Peninsula for a week of intentional living, guided by massage therapist and yoga teacher Alex Dull, physiotherapist Dr. Rob Satriano, and the team at Nereus Retreat Center. Surrounded by pristine rainforest and protected coastline, you'll experience daily yoga and breath work, nourishing meals crafted by a health-supportive chef, restorative wellness practices, thoughtfully curated adventures, and the rare luxury of uninterrupted time to simply be.

Unlike a traditional retreat, your experience is guided by two movement and wellness professionals who work closely with each participant throughout the week. Through hands-on assists, individualized movement guidance, and a deep understanding of the body, Alex and Dr. Rob tailor practices to meet you where you are—helping you move with greater ease, build confidence, and leave feeling stronger than when you arrived.

From sunrise movement and ocean swims to wildlife encounters, jungle exploration, and evenings gathered beneath the stars, every detail has been designed to restore your nervous system, reconnect you with your body, and immerse you in the healing rhythm of nature.

This is a retreat for those seeking more than a vacation. It's an opportunity to restore your energy, deepen your wellbeing, and return home feeling healthier, stronger, and profoundly renewed.

What to Expect:

Join us on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula for a week of complete immersion in nature, movement, and wellbeing. Through daily yoga, breathwork, nourishing meals, ocean swims, wildlife encounters, and thoughtfully curated adventures, you'll experience one of the most biodiverse places on earth in a meaningful and unforgettable way.

Set between lush jungle and a protected stretch of coastline, this retreat is designed for those who want to reconnect with their bodies, explore a remarkable place, and return home feeling energized, grounded, and inspired.

Move / Nourish / Explore / Restore

❋ Daily Yoga Flows

Each day will begin and end with thoughtfully designed yoga practices led by Alex Dull that support both strength and restoration. Through movement, breath, and awareness, you'll have the opportunity to reconnect with your body, quiet the noise of everyday life, and cultivate a greater sense of presence.

Throughout the week, we'll weave together yoga philosophy, pranayama (breathwork), and Ayurvedic wisdom to explore how these ancient practices can support modern life. Rather than offering wellness as a quick fix, our intention is to provide practical tools and insights that can be integrated long after you return home.

❋ Private Beach Oasis

Wander down to the sea at sunrise with a cup of coffee in hand. Take a morning swim in the warm Pacific waters. Spend the afternoon reading in a hammock beneath the palms, listening to the rhythm of the waves, or simply doing absolutely nothing at all.

For those seeking a little more adventure, surf lessons and ocean exploration offer the opportunity to experience this remarkable coastline from a different perspective.

What makes this beach truly special is its sense of wildness. There are no rows of hotels, no crowded boardwalks, and no distractions—just miles of untouched shoreline where jungle meets ocean.

❋ Self-Care Workshop with Dr. Rob

As a physiotherapist, Rob brings a practical perspective to movement, recovery, and long-term health.

Through an interactive workshop, you'll learn simple strategies to improve mobility, move with greater confidence, reduce aches and pains, and support a more active lifestyle—whether you're hiking through the jungle, practicing yoga, or simply wanting to feel better in your body.

His approachable teaching style makes complex movement concepts easy to understand and immediately apply.

❋ Intentional Silent Mornings

One of the most meaningful aspects of our retreat experience is the practice of beginning each day in silence.

From waking until after our morning yoga practice and breakfast, we invite those joining us to embrace a period of intentional quiet. This allows space to fully arrive in the day before immediately turning outward.

You might spend this time journaling, walking along the beach at sunrise, sipping coffee while watching the jungle come alive, or simply sitting with your thoughts.

In a world that rarely offers us a moment before the noise begins, these silent mornings often become one of the most cherished parts of the retreat.

This is not intended as a restriction, but rather an opportunity to experience what unfolds when we create space to listen more deeply to ourselves, to nature, and to the present moment.

❋ Local Excursions to the Jungle & Town / Adventure

Guided hikes through the lush jungle, where monkeys, scarlet macaws, sloths, and countless other species call this remarkable ecosystem home. Venture into the nearby town of Puerto Jimenez to experience the local culture and slower pace of life that makes this region so special.

For those craving a little more adventure, optional excursions such as horseback riding, kayaking int he mangroves and paddleboarding offer a unique way to explore the coastline and surrounding landscape.

❋ Fresh, Chef-crafted, naturally gluten-free meals & an Ayurvedic workshop

One of the things that makes this retreat so special is the opportunity to learn from Jen Millar, co-owner of Nereus Retreat Center and the visionary behind its renowned food program.

Jen is an Ayurvedic wellness educator, yoga teacher, health-supportive chef, and health coaching instructor whose work centers around helping people find greater balance through food, lifestyle, and mindful living.

In addition to preparing the incredible meals you'll enjoy throughout the week, Jen will lead Ayurvedic nutrition and wellness workshops designed to help you bring more vitality, ease, and intention into your everyday life.
