The Wild Unwinding
A Bodywork & Yoga Retreat
The Osa Peninsula / Costa Rica
February 21-27 2026
"Into the forest I go to lose my mind and find my soul."
Where the jungle meets the sea on Costa Rica’s untamed Osa Peninsula, The Wild Unwinding is your invitation to elevate & evolve. Paradise awaits as you shed layers of stress and stagnation through deep embodiment practices, energy work, and full immersion in one of Earth’s most vibrant and untouched regions.
Here, surrounded by the emerald jungle and the vast blue Pacific Ocean, you’ll experience a profound reset—one that clears the mind, restores emotional peace, and reconnects you with the wild intelligence of nature.
This isn’t just about relaxation—it’s about transformation. When we take time to care for our body, we clear space for mental clarity, emotional peace, and deep connection. Through bodywork, yoga, and nature’s wisdom, you’ll awaken to the truth that ultimate freedom is found within.

What Awaits You:
Daily Morning Practice - Meditation + Yoga. A sanctuary in the jungle, our Yoga Shala is nestled into the flora with floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The bugs & pests stay out while we get to witness nature unfolding all around. An optional meditation at 7am followed by a 90 minute morning Yoga practice led by experts of their craft.
Morning coffee + three fresh, local, health-forward meals per day - Made on site by Ayurvedic chef, Jen and her team. At Nereus, food is more than just a meal. It’s a time to gather and nourish. All meals are local, fresh and health-forward with you in mind. The kitchen is 100% gluten-free and accommodates all dietary needs.
Embodiment & Bodywork Workshops - Learn new practices to support your wellbeing. Every body tells a story ~ we carry stress, tension, and emotional weight in our bodies. Through intuitive, hands-on techniques our bodywork workshops are designed to help you unravel the knots of stored tension, leaving you feeling free and fluid in your body.
The trip of a lifetime to Corcovado National Park - According to National Geographic, this is the most biologically intense place on Earth!
Yin & Somatic Yoga - Feel yourself slow down to the pace of nature. Through long-held postures, somatic movement and breathwork, we’ll soften resistance and access the deeper layers of the nervous system, unraveling tension to create space for renewal.
Sound Bath - Sound is vibration, and vibration shapes our physical, emotional, and energetic states. These vibrations work on a cellular level, helping to shift energy, clear blockages, and promote deep relaxation. Our jungle sound bath is designed to bring you into deep resonance and harmony, helping you release stagnant energy, sync with nature’s rhythm, and access a state of pure receptivity.
Time to unwind and relax - An environmental awakening to discover your own deep connection with the land, the ocean, and the pulse of the jungle. Wake up to the sound of monkeys, walk to the beach for a morning dip in the ocean as the sun rises, enjoy the banter of toucans as you rest by the saltwater pool. Take a long walk along the Golfo Dulce (the “sweet coast”) on our private beach, enjoy time to unwind and relax at your own pace.
Jungle & Ocean Playtime - Rent a surfboard or take lessons, head out on a kayak adventure, stroll the winding paths along the Nereus Retreat center, bring your goggles for a snorkel in the clear blue sea.

Details of your stay
The Water - Nereus has a sophisticated multi-stage water treatment system, complete with ultraviolet lights to eliminate bacteria. Water in the bathrooms and outdoor showers is potable and safe to drink.
The Food- Freshly prepared in a health-supportive, 100% gluten-free kitchen, and served family-style in an open-plan dining area. We will be welcomed to the breakfast following our morning practice. Fill yourself with toasty coconut granola, overnight-soaked oats, banana or pumpkin bread, eggs, yogurts, pineapple, and papaya with passion fruit. Lunches and dinners are colorful and offer a wide range of tastes. Lunch might be mahi mahi, caught a stone’s throw away, along with marinated tofu, local cheeses, a rainbow of salads, condiments and dressings. Dinner, a taco extravaganza, or the ever-popular Chifrijo, a relatively new Costa Rican staple. Desserts! The gluten-free brownies made with cacao from a local farm and mini pineapple upside-down cakes always get rave reviews. One thing you can expect is that you’ll always leave the table feeling satisfied!
The Amenities - Costa Rica conforms with North America’s 120V so bring your chargers. With Costa Rica’s humid climate, you might be better off letting your hair go wild! Nereues has one hair dryer to lend should you need it. Each room is equipped with an AC unit and high powered fans to keep you cool in the heat and the bugs at a minimum. Laundry is available onsite for an extra cost of $15 (this can be split with your friends or roommates). Should you choose to connect, there is WiFi but maybe you will consider a digital detox for your stay. Organic, made-in-Costa-Rica Biosfera amenities are provided for your use.
The Tips - Not included in your stay is tipping for the staff that cares for the center. Every morning, you will come back from practice & breakfast to a freshly made bed and clean bathroom. If you choose to add on an adventure (kayaking, surfing, a massage) cash is king in Costa Rica! Bring enough cash to support your adventures and a little extra for tipping.
Getting Here - Getting to Nereus is its own adventure! Book your flight into San Jose International Airport. You will need to book your next flight via Sansa Air from San Jose to Puerto Jiminez - this is a small prop plane which grants you stunning views as you fly over the country. You will be picked up at the airport for a quick 10 minute drive to the retreat center. Don’t worry, all the details will be organized for you once you book your stay and we’re here for you every step of the way.
